OUR LEGACY
Kagiso Capital (Pty) Ltd (KC) is an investment holding company that was established in January 2015. Our primary purpose is to ensure the longevity of the Kagiso Trust (KT) by investing in entities that innovate and transform our society through meaningful investments.
KT was established in 1986 to channel funds to support the anti-apartheid struggle and empower communities. Since the normalisation of our political environment in 1994, KT formed Kagiso Trust investments (now known as KTH post the merger with Tiso Group in 2011) as an investment arm in order to secure a sustainable source of funding.
KT was able to build a sizeable capital base which allowed it to embark on a new statergy to diversify its asset base by starting its own investment company, KC and deploy resources and take control of its own destiny to achieve its objectives of growing a sustainable investment portfolio.
